Teilhard Quote at Pippa Middleton Wedding

Teilhard de Chardin provided one of the readings at today’s wedding of James Matthews to Pippa Middleton, sister of the Duchess of Cambridge. The reading was actually a blend of two quotes – “Love is an adventure and a conquest… etc.” was a quote from Human Energy, Collins 1969, p.74.

“Put your faith in the spirit which dwells between the two of you… etc.” was a quote from Teilhard’s address at the wedding of Odette Bacot and Jean Teilhard d’Eyry, 14 June 1928, in The Heart of Matter, Collins 1978, p.137.
